题 目：Corporate Risk-taking, Foreign Institutional Ownership, and the Role of Country-level Corporate Governance
摘 要：
Employing a large sample of 17,698 firms across 42 countries spanning the years 2000 to 2015, we show that foreign institutional ownership (FIO) positively influences corporate risk-taking, and the above positive impact is achieved through the monitoring channel and international diversification channel. In addition, FIO is found to be a substitute for country-level corporate governance in determining corporate risk-taking, indicating that foreign institutional investors play a significant role in motivating managers to take risk in countries with weaker corporate governance. Various robustness tests and careful considerations of endogeneity confirm our main conclusions.
主讲人简介：
李东辉，开云online(中国)毕业于武汉大学经济学院审计系，随后在中华人民共和国审计暑金融审计司工作三年。2001年获得澳大利亚新南威尔士大学金融学博士学位后，留在该系任职至2015年1月。现为暨南大学管理学院财务与金融学教授、博士生导师。
他目前主要研究公司财务管理和股东结构，并在国际学术界拥有较高影响力。他的学术论文发表在下列世界顶级财务与金融学A+类期刊上：Journal of Finance，Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis， Journal of International Business Studies，以及其它世界高水平财务与金融学A类期刊上，包括：Journal of Banking and Finance (三篇), Journal of Corporate Finance(两篇), Journal of International Money and Finance (两篇), Journal of Risk and Insurance (两篇)，Journal of Business Finance & Accounting，等等。他还在中国国家重点权威学术刊物上发表多篇文章，包括：《经济研究》(两篇)、《管理世界》、《经济学动态》、《金融研究》，等等。 目前他有文章在财务与金融学A+类期刊改稿，包括：Journal of Accounting & Economics，还有文章已经投到财务与金融学A+类期刊，包括：Journal of International Economics。他还有文章在A类期刊改稿，包括：Journal of Banking and Finance。他还是许多世界著名学术期刊的匿名评审人，包括Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Risk and Insurance等。此外，他受邀到许多世界知名大学做过学术报告，包括澳大利亚莫纳什大学、昆士兰大学、阿迪莱德大学、新加坡南洋大学、中国清华大学、北京大学、复旦大学、上海交通大学、武汉大学、浙江大学、中山大学、以及香港理工大学等等。
他的研究得到国际研究基金的高度认同，目前主持一项国家自然科学基金面上项目、曾经共同主持一项澳大利亚国家研究基金（发现者基金）、参与一项国家自然科学基金重点项目，等等。
他的教学能力得到国际市场认可。他的博士生毕业后工作于世界著名高校，包括澳大利亚新南威尔士大学、莫纳什大学。他的博士后在英国Cass 商学院任教。他教过多门澳大利亚和中国的开云online(中国)、硕士、博士课程，得到广大学生的广泛好评。
